When you become a mum, whether for the first time, or due to a new addition to the family, having a baby will no doubt change your whole world. While it’s common to experience a range of emotions during this time, it’s important to know the difference between normal experiences of motherhood and indicators of postnatal depression.
This course of five treatments aims to help you identify and explore how to manage symptoms of postnatal depression using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques. Knowing how to identify the signs of postnatal depression and learning how to challenge the negative thoughts and behaviours associated can help you better manage your symptoms and make positive changes to your experience of motherhood.
If at any time during NHS CBT therapy course you feel as though you are not making progress, or that you are unable to cope, please contact your GP.
